Ahead of this year's VDF we caught up with returning faculty Cassie Bartho to get her tips for dancers this year...

What are you most excited about for VDF 23?
"It’s important to learn, to be inspired, to train in an environment that challenges you and ultimately to create a sense of community. We need to have each other’s back in this industry, we are a family!" Why is it so important that dancers get together and share their love of dance?
"Dance is so incredibly powerful in collaboration. To be surrounded by other artists who support you, understand your passion and challenge you to grow is the ‘why’ behind our art. Working with other dances is infectious and that energy makes you feel like you can handle anything"
What advice do you have for dancers as they prepare for the VDF weekend? "Do your research on the incredible teachers you get to experience. Choose a track that challenges you and be sure to take class with people that aren’t usually available to you."
