Bio

Jason Coleman has built an extensive career as a dancer, actor, choreographer, and director, covering more areas of the entertainment industry than most. His music industry credits are numerous, having choreographed for major artists such as Christine Anu, Tina Arena, Kylie Minogue, Samantha Jade, Olly Murs, Sheena Easton, and John Farnham and more. As a performer, Jason also shared the stage with international legends including Whitney Houston and Frank Sinatra.

One of Jason’s most notable achievements came when he was appointed choreographer for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Following the global success of these ceremonies, he was selected to choreograph the handover ceremony for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. He served as Director of Choreography for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar - one of the largest and most expensive productions ever staged.

His TV work includes choreography for Water Rats, G.P., E-Street, Popstars, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, and TV Week Logie Awards. He also appeared as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance Australia (2008–2010) and was a runner-up on Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

In musical theatre, Jason’s credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Sweet Charity, Fame, Hair, Chicago, A Chorus Line, and Saturday Night Fever. He also choreographed the 2010 Australian tour of Hairspray.

Beyond performance and choreography, Jason has expanded into business and education, founding Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance, The Ministry of Performing Arts College, and record label, Groove Pill Records.
