Bio

Kate Wormald has been an in-demand choreographer, intimacy coordinator, and movement coach for over 27 years. Her passion for movement has taken her from the stage into choreography, casting, and movement direction. Her extensive body of work reflects both her talent and strong work ethic, establishing her as one of Australia’s leading performers and creatives.

She has contributed as a choreographer to a wide range of major film and television projects. These include films by directors such as Baz Luhrmann (Elvis) and Ron Howard (Eden), as well as productions like Happy Feet 2, Nautilus (Disney), Godzilla x Kong, Anyone But You, The Wilds Season 2, Young Rock (NBC), Seriously Red starring Rose Byrne, The End, Irreverent, and Harrow Season 2.

Kate is also a fully certified intimacy coordinator through IDC in New York, where she was trained and mentored by Alicia Rodis, HBO’s resident intimacy coordinator. She is one of only a few intimacy coordinators from Australia and New Zealand listed on the SAG-AFTRA registry.

Creating safe working environments and incorporating consent-based practices are central to Kate’s work. She has served as an intimacy coordinator on projects for major studios and platforms including Apple TV, Warner Bros., Amazon, Netflix, Columbia/Sony Pictures, NBC, Universal Pictures, and the Queensland Ballet Company.
