vdf volunteer army - your time for tickets!

Calling all parents, grandparents, chaperones, older siblings, teachers and willing friends!

Would you like to earn a free VDF26 weekend pass for that special dancer in your life?

Do you have some time to spare whilst they dance their heart out?

VDF is looking for a willing army of volunteers who can help us with a variety of roles during the festival weekend.

Here's just a few that we are looking for help with.

You could be Scan-tastic and help us with scanning tickets as people enter the doors on Saturday morning!
You could help us with a quick change as we prepare the seating for the audience so your dancer can take to the stage at Studio 7 Ignite!
You could be our maestro of music, assisting our amazing choreographers by pressing play, pause and rewind during classes (2 assistants per class)
You could be part of the backstage buzz, chaperoning and helping us to ensure all dancers make it to the Ignite stage on time and ready to shine!
You could be helping monitor our amazing new AcroPAD zone! Ensuring dancers share the space in an orderly fashion, being safe and sensational as they soar through the air or tumble their way along!

In exchange for your time, we will give you a complimentary weekend pass worth $275 for your dancer to enjoy the whole VDF26 festival weekend!

And a ticket for you and your dancer if you wish to stay and enjoy the Studio 7 Ignite show.

To be eligible to apply to be a VDF volunteer:

You must have a valid Working With Children's Check
Be prepared to give a minimum of 4 hours of your time across the weekend.*
Be fun ambassadors who embody the spirit of community and celebration that VDF is famous for.
Be available either Saturday 23 or Sunday 24 May 2026 at Melbourne Showgrounds. Please note travel expenses not included.
Be 16 years old and over.

*Note that all volunteers will be required to watch a 30min child safety video prior to their arrival at VDF
