Yvette Lee is an Australian Creative who has made a name for herself as a go-to in the world of dance, choreography & show design. With a career spanning over 20 years in various areas of entertainment and styles, Yvette has worked across all genres and industries. From film, television, live events, musical theatre, video clips, artist development, ceremonies, and stadium shows.

​

Stadium and Arena events are a specialty of Yvette’s and most recently her work can been seen on the AFL Grandfinals Pre Show Entertainment for KISS, Robbie Williams, Baker Boy & Dreamtime at the G. Yvette is proudly the Artistic Director of the Victorian Dance Festival, the Current Dance Director for the Department of Education's Victorian State School Spectacular at John Caine Arena and has just completed Jessica Mauboy’s ‘Yours Forever Tour’.

 Choreography for Television include The Masked Singer, Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance Australia, (& Greece), Dance Boss, X Factor, Chris Lilley's Ja’mie Private School Girl, Cosentino, Stories from Oz, Dance Hero Japan, Australian Idol, ARIA Awards, Logie Awards, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, Neighbours, The Taiwanese Wiggles, The Big Music Quiz, China’s Next Top Model and Asia’s Got Talent. Yvette has choreographed and creatively produced for artists such as Tim Minchin, Tones & I, Anthony Callea, Zara Larsson, Guy Sebastian, Dami Im, Andy Grammar, Illy, Vera Blue, Samantha Jade, Ricki Lee, Bonnie Anderson, Rob Mills, Casey Donovan, Hugh Sheridan, Tim Campbell & Rhonda Burchmore.

Her fresh take on theatrical choreography includes Belle Shakespeare 'The Lovers' Young Frankenstein, In The Heights, Caroline, or Change, The History Boys and the slasher hit musical American Psycho, for which she won a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Choreography.

Ashley Wallen’s distinct choreographic style blends modern sensibilities with the classic style of old MGM musicals. Some feature film highlights include the Netflix holiday hit Jingle Jangle and the James Corden produced Cinderella starring Camila Cabello, Billy Porter, and Idina Menzel. His show-stopping choreography was featured in the 2018 Golden Globe Best Motion Picture winning film, The Greatest Showman (starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Michelle Williams) which consequently led him to choreograph the film’s spectacular live television promo performance of ‘Come Alive’. The latter promo, the film and his work on Jingle Jangle won him World Choreography Awards. Upcoming films include Apartment 7A for Paramount starring Julia Garner and Diane Wiest, Argylle directed by Matthew Vaughn, and the Robbie Williams biopic Better Man with director Michael Gracey.


Collaborating with well-known director Michael Gracey, Ashley choreographed P!nk’s magical Walk Me Home music video. Other music video credits include Kylie Minogue’s Dancing (directed by Sophie Muller), Charlotte Church’s Call My Name, Sugababes Shape of My Heart, Alesha Dixon’s The Boy Does Nothing, Gabriella Cilmi’s On a Mission, Will Young’s Your Game, and many more.


Ashley’s TV and film choreography includes American Housewife, ABC’S Galavant, X Factor and Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Superstar on ITV. He appeared on screen as a judge and mentor on DanceX. And who can forget Oprah’s season 24 kick off with the Black Eyed Peas in what was the largest flashmob in Chicago. More recently, Ashley choreographed Come Dance With Me on CBS and HBOMax’s Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.


His commercial work can be seen in campaigns for Emirates Airlines (winning yet another World Choreography Award for Best Commercial), Wren Kitchens, Hugo Boss, Gap, Evian Rollerbabies, and T-Mobile.


Ashley’s choreography can be seen in world tours for artists such as Kylie Minogue, Atomic Kittens, Blue, and Will Young. Audiences saw his work on the West End in Ghost and in Rent when he teamed up with director William Baker. He also remixed the highly successful Burlesque show Polly Rae, The Hurly Burly Show.


Originally from the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, Ashley started training as a dancer in all styles at the age of 12 before landing his first big break dancing in Kylie Minogue’s Intimate and Live Tour of Australia and the UK at the age of 17. Years later he would appear with Kylie on her On a Night like This Tour in Sydney, then go on to choreograph her Love Kylie Underwear launch in Melbourne. He’s appeared in numerous musicals including Fame, Sisterella, and Footloose. In 2000 Ashley filmed Baz Lurhman’s Moulin Rouge. He also went on to dance in films Scooby Doo, Phantom of the Opera and to choreograph the Australian film Josh Jarmon.

sophistication and elegance has elevated her as a highly respected and sought-after dancer, teacher & choreographer on the world stage!


Sydney-born Jazz superstar Sophie Holloway began dancing at the early age of 3, training under the legendary Bernadette Langshaw-Clark. After continuing her education majoring in Dance and Drama at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, Sophie hit the Australian scene at just 16 as a commercial dancer and model, featuring in TV shows and commercials before unexpectedly landing a role in the ensemble for Baz Lurhmann’s film The Great Gatsby.


Chasing her ultimate dream, Sophie made her way to New York City in 2014 & secured a spot in the internationally renowned precision dance company The Radio City Rockettes. Her 8 years with the company has included over 700 performances as well as The Tony Awards, Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day ParadeThe Today Show NBC and more!


Back home in Australia Sophie is one of the most sought after commercial performers in the industry performing for international icons like Katy Perry and Cher as well as a featured role in Opera Australia’s production of Salome choreographed by Kelley Abbey.


Sophie most recently worked on Baz Lurhmanns’s film Elvis and Rebel Wilson’s feature film The Deb and was selected by The Squared Division as a resident dancer on Season 3 of The Masked Singer in Australia. Other commercial dance credits include The Voice, Australia’s Got Talent, Dancing With The Stars, The Aria Awards, Sydney World Pride, Dance Boss, The Dream Dance Company, The Wiggles and she is continually featured in various TVC’s nationally and internationally.


Her latest achievement is being invited to join the internationally renowned touring
company Burn The Floor where Sophie has made her mark as a commercial Latin dancer and looks forward to the upcoming Australian Tour in 2024. 


As well as performing on countless gigs with some of the world’s biggest stars, Sophie has rapidly become one of Australia’s most sought-after dance educators and emerging choreographers. Working closely with Mitchell Woodcock and Newground Collective as well as her work on Vogue Australia’s Fashion Night Out and Bonnie Lythgoe Productions.


She was recently appointed Choreographer for projects with music artist CXLOE as well as The Veronicas and was the Auditions Assistant for Opera Australia’s upcoming production of Sunset Boulevard.


Attention to detail, sophistication and her dynamic personality keep Sophie in high demand and employed nationwide. With a remarkable technical background, complimented by versatile exposure and training, Sophie has matured into a polished and sophisticated performer and emerging choreographer. There is no denying that her vivacious presence is undoubtedly favoured in the industry as Sophie remains one of the most influential and highly respected artists across Australia and internationally.

'RAYGUN' - RACHAEL GUNN BREAKING

Rachael Gunn is an elite female breaker/bgirl who competes under the name ‘Raygun’. She recently won the Oceania Breaking Championships and will be representing Australia at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games for breaking’s Olympic debut. She was Australia’s top ranked bgirl in 2020, 2021, and 2023 and has represented Australia at the World Breaking Championships in France (2021), South Korea (2022), and Belgium (2023). Raygun’s strengths as a breaker are her distinctive style and original moves. In addition to being an elite breaker, Rachael has a PhD in cultural studies and is a Lecturer at Macquarie University. Her research focuses on breaking culture, and she has published many articles and book chapters in this area.

Hi I'm Jeff Dunne and I’m 16 years old . I started breaking when I was 7. Over the years I’ve won many comps around Australia and I’ve competed in several countries around the world .

In October 2023, I won gold at the Oceania Breaking Championship which qualified me to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

​

I’m so excited and honoured to be representing my country and being able to show the world about breaking.

Gerard ‘Kid Tek’ Cabellon is a Western Sydney based breaker that represents Flowtality and Zealous crew. Over his 12-year breaking career, Kid Tek has won 14 national titles and has been selected to represent Australia in USA, Korea, Japan and Europe. He is currently competing for a place in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as the bronze medal winner of the Oceania Qualifier.

G’day, my name is Molly Chapman and I am a 19 year old bgirl from Wollongong. I started breaking in 2014 after having done other dance styles and acro before. At the start of 2021 I won my first battle online and this was where my Olympic journey and goal came into light. End of 2023 comes and I won the silver medal at the Oceanic Olympic Qualifiers! My faith in Jesus has been a massive part along this journey, and I’ve grown closer to Him since!

He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.F.A in Dance Performance from Chapman University. Post-graduation, Chris has been fortunate to travel and perform all over the world. Some of his most notable credits include Cirque du Soleil Beatle’s LOVE, Dancing with the Stars, The Masked Singer Tour, Disney’s Descendants GMA, Steve Wynn’s Showstoppers, Radio City Rockette’s Christmas Spectacular, Saturday Night Live, Fox’s Glee, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Saved by the Bell, Disney’s Zombies D23,  and more. Alex Miedzinski is an exceptionally talented and passionate creative based in Australia, leaving an indelible mark on the world of dance and choreography.

 

Her journey began at Brent Street Performing Arts in Sydney, where she completed her Certificate IV in Performing Arts. Her passion for dance took her across the seas to America, where she made history as Australia's first female international Elite Protege at the prestigious Pulse On Tour. Dancing alongside and assisting some of the world's leading choreographers, including the likes of Brian Friedman, Tucker Barkley, Kylie Hanagami, Tessandra Chavez, Sisco Gomez, Ian Eastwood, and more.


As a performer, Alex has worked with Artists including Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Tone’s & I, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Human Nature, PNAU, Amy Shark, Keith Urban, Vera Blue, Square Division, JTOWN, Lupa J & Savage. Toured with Guy Sebastian, The Dream Dance Company, WE ARE Dance Project, Project Home and The Pulse on Tour plus appeared on television programs including The Masked Singer, The Voice & Mardi Gras. Her most recent endeavour, touring Australia and New Zealand with 90’s iconic artist JOJO.


However, it is her choreography that truly sets her apart as a visionary in her field. Alex's creative work has received widespread acclaim. Her remarkable choreography contributions to Guy Sebastian's music videos, such as ChoirLet Me Drink, and Standing With You, have garnered significant attention, even earning thanks from Guy himself in his Aria Award speeches.


Beyond her collaborations with Guy Sebastian, Alex's choreographic brilliance extended to creating her own show MDZNSK and working on music videos for artists like Ruel, Amy Shark, Keith Urban, Human Nature, Harry Connick Jnr and Kim Dracula and she has been involved in numerous TV commercials as well. Her gift lies in her ability to push the boundaries of choreography, skillfully translating concepts into captivating movements that come to life brilliantly on camera and on stage.

Aimee is a Naarm/Melbourne based, New Zealand born dancer and choreographer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Art and Design (Honours AUT 2010), a Diploma of Dance (2015), a member of TrIPP (Transit International Professional Pathway 2018) and the 2019/20 Dancehouse Emerging Choreographers Program. 

 

Choreographic credits include Sonos winner Best Dance/Physical Theatre (2018 Melbourne Fringe), Eyes Wide Open (2019 Melbourne Fringe), MOTH (2021 Dancehouse) and Skin Affinity (2021 finalist Australian Ballet Telstra Emerging Choreographer). 

 

She has most recently performed in Chunky Move’s 4/4 by Antony Hamilton (2023), has collaborated in residency for Amaara Raheem (2022), performed in Stephanie Lake Company Colossus (2018, 2019), Chunky Move & Contact Gonzo ChoreoLab performance at NGV (2020) and was a rehearsal director for Simulcast Bendigo by Chunky Move (2019). Alongside her arts practice Aimee is an experienced dance, Barre, Pilates and RYT500 Ashtanga Yoga teacher.

Kyall is a Naarm/Melbourne based contemporary dance artist who works across a variety of areas within the dance industry, including performing, teaching, choreographing, directing and producing for minor and major scale professional companies, institutions, national festivals and organisations. Kyall also works within a number of youth, education and community dance contexts, and is passionate about increasing the accessibility of dance on all levels. Kyall's creative practice is an extension of this, often using introspection, humour and absurdism to reflect on and point out behavioural patterns and structures of society.

 

Upon graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2015, they were awarded the Orloff Family Trust award for Most Outstanding Dancer. Since then they have danced for Tasdance, Antony Hamilton Projects, Chunky Move, Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures, Opera Australia, The Delta Project and Liquidskin Dance Company. In 2017-2018 Kyall undertook an 8 month international residency program with DanceBox in Kobe, Japan, and then spent 3 months in Sweden as a member of ilYoung 2018. 

Notable projects and achievements include working as both a Professional Cast Member and Community Dance Lead for the Arts Centre Melbourne/Matthew Bourne Lord Of The Flies project, helping create the 2019 Dance Massive work Simulcast, as well as Stephanie Lake Company's 2020 Melbourne Fringe work Multiply. In 2022 Kyall produced Tamara Cubas’s large scale community work Multitud for RISING, as well as working as Co-Artistic Director of the Australian Youth Dance Festival.

Currently Kyall is a Creative Associate of Assembly 197 and Tasdance, and works as Artistic Director to the preprofessional youth dance company Yellow Wheel. Since 2021 Kyall has worked as a Community Dance Lead for City of Melbourne, as part of the core team that helps create and produce the annual Moomba Parade. Kyall also works as an educational consultant for Chunky Move, contributing to their Experiences for Schools program and school engagement.

Andrew is currently the Head of Musical Theatre and Dance at Transit Dance. During his illustrious career he has won three Helpmann Awards, two Sydney Theatre Critics and two Green Room Awards for ‘Best Choreography in a Musical’.

As a leader in the Australian dance industry, Michelle Hopper Doyle has worked extensively in the performing arts industry for more than 20 years. Michelle has had the opportunity to work with the world’s best directors and choreographers including Baz Lurhmann, George Miller, David Atkins, Kelley Abbey, Wade Robson, The Squared Division, John O’Connell, Nathan Wright, Jason Coleman and Dein Perry.

With a career spanning over two decades, Michelle secured roles in major stage productions including Singin’ in the Rain playing the role of Cyd Cherise and Grease The Arena Spectacular. She was cast in feature Films including Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby, Happy Feet 1 and 2, Goddess, The Son of Mask and has performed on screen at The TV Week Logie Awards, Helpmann Awards, X Factor, Australian Idol, MTV Music Awards, Aria Awards, The Nickelodeon Choice Awards, Rove Live, SYTYCD, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, DWTS, The 2000 Olympic Closing Ceremony and the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. 

Under the creative direction of The Squared Division, Michelle was recently employed as a resident choreographer on The Masked Singer seasons 3, 4 and 5.

Paul Malek is one of the most highly regarded Directors, Choreographers and Educators in Australia. 

​

With a passion for education, self-empowerment and artistic innovation; he inspires many individuals, businesses and communities to strive towards becoming the greatest version of themselves possible whilst nurturing artistic development and professional growth. 

 

Trained in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, his performing career saw him tour the world through 5 continents as dancer, dance captain, rehearsal director and company manager all before the age of 26. 

 

Returning to Australia in 2006, he became an avid entrepreneur, creating businesses such as Collaboration the Project (2008 – 2014), responsible for events such as UNDRGRND Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Immersed Melbourne Dance Industry Night, DANCE CHAT and DANCE CHAT LIVE, Project Y (youth dance 
company) and over 16 professional production seasons and tours. 

 

In 2015, Malek founded Transit Dance, and currently resides as Artistic Director of Transit Dance Company and oversees the immense output of performance platforms and educational opportunities created from within their state-of-the-art dance and performance precinct in Brunswick, Victoria. 

 

During his day to day commitments at Transit Dance, he is also a highly sought-after Host and Inspirational Speaker, speaking at many corporate events, conventions and festivals not only in Australia but across the globe.

As a dancer, actor, choreographer and director, he has covered more show business territory than most.  Jason’s music industry credits are as numerous as they are diverse. Jason has choreographed for Christine Anu, Tina Arena, Kylie Minogue, Samantha Jade, Olly Murs, Sheena Easton, Chrissy Amphlet, Human Nature, Bardot, John Farnham, Chaka Khan, Vanessa Amorossi, Bee Gees, Deni Hines, Kate Cebrano, Euphoria, Toni Peron, Melissa Kautz, Megan Washington and the list goes on. As a dancer, Jason even performed on the same bill as international artists like Whitney Houston the legendary Frank Sinatra.

​

Jason’s engagement as Choreographer for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games was at the time, his most notable credit to mention. Following the international success of the extraordinary 2000 Olympic Ceremonies, Jason was also chosen to choreograph for the highly acclaimed handover ceremony for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

​

Jason subsequently acted as Director of Choreography for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. This was one of the largest and most expensive shows ever made anywhere on earth. As well as choreographing himself, Jason was responsible for directing an international team of choreographers for this event. On television, Jason has worked as a choreographer on shows such as Water Rats, G.P, E-Street, Popstars, Hey Hey it’s Saturday, Roy and H.G. the Footy Show, the Midday Show, the TV Week LOGIE Awards, and The Kitchen Musical (which aired in 17 Asian countries via a regional cable broadcaster, in the Philippines on ABS-CBN airing to 18 million households), in Malaysia on Media Prima, and in Indonesia on Metro TV). He was also on the judging panel on So You Think You Can Dance Australia (from 2008 - 2010) and in 2011 was a celebrity contestant on Celebrity Apprentice Australia (awarded runner –up raising $50,000 for his charity).

Jason’s Musical Theatre credits include; Little Shop of Horrors, Sweet Charity, Fame, The Man from Snowy River, Hair, Chicago, A Chorus Line, Saturday Night Fever, Dancin’ Man, Dancin’ Dynamite and Hairspray (choreographer of the 2010 Australian tour).

Jason opened his own entertainment empire 'Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance' in 2008, which iscurrently the largest entertainment Enterprise in the world. In 2011 Jason launched his own record label, Groove Pill Records. In 2021 he launched The Ministry of Performing Arts College, an Elite Secondary Institution for Performing Artists, fulfilling one of Jason’s long held dreams.

KATE WORMALD Jazz

Kate Wormald has been an in-demand Choreographer, Intimacy Coordinator and Movement Coach with a career spanning over 25 years. Her passion for movement has led her from the stage to choreography, casting and movement direction and her incredible body of work is testament to her talent and work ethic as one of Australia’s leading performers and creatives.

​

Kate has lent her talents as choreographer on Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Movie, Ticket To Paradise, Anyone But You, animated feature film Happy Feet 2, Disney’s Nautilus, Godzilla X Kong, Apples Never Fall, Amazon Primes series The Wilds, NBC’s Young Rock, Rose Byrnes feature film Seriously Red, Foxtel’s THE END, Irreverent and ABC’s Harrow S2.

​

Kate has become a fully certified Intimacy Co-ordinator through IDC in New York. Working in safe spaces incorporating consent based practises is so very important to the work Kate develops. Kate has worked as IC on projects for Netflix, Universal, Columbia/Sony Films and the Queensland Ballet Company.

​

As a creative and choreographer, Kate’s stage and event credits include Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Associate Head of Choreography & Staging for the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Azerbaijan’s 4th Islamic Solidarity Games and P&O Cruises production of Seven.

 

Creatively, television has been a huge passion of Kate’s with her work featured on shows and commercials such as Dance Boss, So You Think You Can Dance, Australia’s Got Talent, The Voice, X Factor, Lord Mayors Christmas Carols, Dancing with the Stars and campaigns for BONDS, BERLEI and Channel 10.

 

As a performer, Kate has a long list of credits, working with some of the world’s most revered actors, choreographers, directors and recording artists including George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Sydney Sweeney, Austin Butler, Rachael Griffiths, Ol Parker, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Hudson, Samara Weaving, KE$HA, George Miller, Baz Luhrmann, Ellie Goulding, Michael Gracey, Robbie Williams, Macy Gray and Krew Boylan, as well as performing in stage shows such as Fame, Footloose, Carmen, Oh What a Night, Happy Feet 1 & 2, The X Factor, Australian Idol, TV Week Logie Awards, Sir Cliff Richard Tour, ROVE, Long Way to the Top, MTV Awards, ARIA Awards, Nickelodeon Awards and various national corporate events.

Since paving her professional dance career, Sarah has become an Australian house hold name specialising in contemporary choreography. Her choreographic work has been described as breaking boundaries for its theatrical edge.

Sarah’s choreographic journey began on the global television hit So You Think You Can Dance, where she was engaged for the UK & Australian seasons.

On film, television, and stage, her credits include Enter the Vortex by the Dream Dance Company, Dance Academy the Come Back, The Opening Ceremony of the Arab Games (David Atkins Enterprises), SYTYCD UK and Australian season 1,2,3 & 4, Dance Academy ABC3, The Voice for Jennifer Hudson, Dance Boss, Puberty Blues and Dancing with the Stars.

​

Performance highlights include working for legendary artist Celine Dion in the resident show A New Day, working with industry greats, Mia Michaels and Franco Dragone. Westend credits include a solo for her Majesty the Queen, Royal Variety performances and West end musical Notre dame de Paris.

​

As well as performing and creating, Sarah finds passion in teaching and is the Co Director of renowned full-time course Ev & Bow in Sydney. She has taught all around the world receiving much acclaim, teaching workshops and master classes in Australia, USA, UK, Italy, Indonesia and Middle East. Sarah is sought after for her contemporary works and find’s great pleasure in sharing her knowledge to up and coming dancers.

Italian born Jacopo trained at Ateneo della Danza in Siena. In 2012 he joined Balletto di Siena as an apprentice, graduated to full time dancer in season 2013/14. Jacopo received his American Ballet Theatre NTC diploma in 2013, before joining Baltic Dance Theatre (Gdańsk, Poland) the following year where he worked with choreographers including Jiri Kylian, Patrick Delcroix and the director, Izadora Weiss.

 

In 2015 he joined ImPerfect Dancers Company (Pisa, Italy), directed by Walter Matteini and Ina Broeckx and in August 2016 he joined Ballet des Stadttheater Bremerhaven, under the direction of Sergei Vanaev, where he worked with Itzik Galili and Ed Wubbe.

 

Jacopo joined Sydney Dance Company in 2018 and made his choreographic debut in New Breed 2021.

Matthew Prescott, born and raised in Idaho, graduated high school from Interlochen Arts Academy and attended the inaugural year of the Joffrey/New School in New York City. In 2000, he joined the Joffrey Ballet for a number of years before setting out as a freelance artist.

​

Working as a freelancer, Matthew has worked and performed with Donald Byrd’s Spectrum Dance Theater, Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, Ballet NY, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Amanda Miller, The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, The Alabama Ballet, Armitage Gone! Dance, BalletX, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, Morphoses the Wheeldon Company, and Dance Theatre of Harlem.

Matthew was featured in Robert Altman’s film, The Company. He has choreographed works performed by Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Chamber Dance Project, the Joffrey Ballet School, BalletX, Interlochen Arts Academy, for Misty Copeland for Prince’s Coming to America 2010 Madison Square Garden performances, as well as the Vail International Dance Festival. Matthew was the Resident Choreographer on the national tour of Billy Elliot as well as performing the roll of Older Billy. Matthew made his Broadway debut in the cast of Phantom of the Opera.

Trix has appeared on Bet’s Hit Show 106 & Park several times as a champion contestant and also as a Dance Week guest performer. He was also a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance Season 9.

 

Trix has had the pleasure of working and performing at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida, doing multiple performances and parades across all 4 property parks! From the Theme Parks to the Basketball court, he was asked to choreograph a halftime performance for the Orlando Magics Dance Team. Trix is currently a guest faculty member at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance. 2013 saw Jesse co-create The Tap Pack which is successfully playing in theatres all over the world and recently includes performances on "The Morning Show", the world-famous "TED X Convention" and "The Carols in the Domain" with special guest Adam Garcia. In 2014 The Tap Pack was nominated for two Green Room Awards and an Australian Dance Award for Best Musical. In 2016 & 2019 The Tap Pack wowed audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Sold Out shows, rave reviews, and receiving the "Spirit of the Fringe" award. 2017 saw The Tap Pack play the famous Super Theatre in Beijing followed by a 2 month Season at the Tipi Am Kanzleramt in Berlin. In May 2018, The Tap Pack performed their debut season at the Peacock Theatre on London's West End under the famous umbrella of Sadler's Wells.

Tiana Canterbury has worked actively at the forefront of the Australian dance scene for close to two decades. Her experience working with dancers to bring them to their full potential has sparked the attention of many large organisations seeking talent for their campaigns.

Over the past 3 years Tiana has served as the dance scene expert for Red Bull Australia. She plays the role of the middle woman between Red Bull and the dance community throughout Australia. A role which calls on her to actively liaise with Red Bull teams internationally, deliver and mentor talent through preliminary and final stages of competition, and build overall relationships between corporates and communities.

Podesta's artistry extends beyond dance, inspiring collaborations and multimedia projects. His award-winning work Shadow Aspect served as the inspiration for a book by acclaimed London photographer Jason Ashwood. Podesta's contribution to the Dis/Assemble Project also features prominently in the book Seeded by Moya Sayer-Jones, highlighting his work with adaptive dancers.

 

As an educator, Podesta has shared his expertise worldwide, teaching classical ballet and contemporary dance. She made her choreographic debut with RENT at the Sydney Opera House (LPD Productions), has recently choreographed the Australian tour of RENT (LPD productions), Kinky Boots at Chapel Off Chapel (James Terry Collective) and Assistant Choreographer for West Side Story for Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour (Opera Australia.)

She was both the Assistant Director and Assistant Choreographer for Kiss of the Spider Woman at MTC and most recently she proudly Created/Directed and Choreographed the World Premier of METAMUSE (Vass Productions) at the Alex Theatre in Melbourne.

As a Performer, Luca was most recently seen as an onstage Swing in Elvis The Musical Revolution (David Venn Enterprises), Swing in the Original Australian Production of Hamilton (Michael Cassel Group) and played the role of Anybodys in West Side Story as well as being the Dance Captain for Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour (Opera Australia). She wore multiple hats as Dance Captain/Ensemble and Understudy Nautica in Bring It On The Musical (David Venn Enterprises), was Ensemble for Billy Elliot (Louise Withers and Associates), and recently finished filming Rebel Wilson’s new Australian Movie, The Deb.

Gina is the Founder and Director of Ascendant Dance Company and was the World Finals Judge at Hip Hop International, technical director of Hip Hop International Australia and Head Judge of HHI Australia.

Damian brings with him more than 25 years international experience as a dancer with companies such as the Boston Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Hong Kong Ballet, Hamburg Ballet, Ballet Du Nord, New York City Ballet and 18 years as Principal Dancer with the highly acclaimed San Francisco Ballet.

He has been chosen more than 20 times to be the original cast for some of the world’s best choreographers, including Christopher Wheeldon, Wayne McGregor, Alexei Ratmansky and Nacho Duato, and worked with them on the creation of their new ballets.

​

Beginning his dance training in Newcastle with the Robyn Hick School of Dance and the Marie Walton Dance Academy, Damian completed his studies at the MacDonald College before being accepted into the prestigious School of American Ballet in New York at just 16 years old. His appointment as Artistic Director at National Ballet School marks a welcome homecoming and an exciting new chapter for Damian and the School.

Jane Inglis-Keen has been a dance teacher specialising in Classical Ballet since 1997. Jane trained at the Victorian College of Arts and The Australian Ballet School graduating with Distinction in Diploma of Dance.  She received a scholarship to the Princess Grace Ballet School in Monaco where she was coached by Marika Besobrasova.

Jane performed with the Australian Ballet Dancers Company then joined The Australian Ballet Company under Maina Gielgud performing soloist roles including ‘Peasant Pas’ from Giselle and ‘Cupid’ from Don Quixote as well as performing in Etudes, Checkmate, Taming of Shrew and Nutcracker.

After her dancing career, Jane obtained an Advanced Diploma of Dance Teaching (High Distinction) at The Australian Ballet School under the directorship of Gaileen Stock which included: Ballet Methodology (Vaganova), Contemporary, Choreography, Character, Anatomy, Child Psychology, Music, Benesh Notation, and Dance History.

Jane is a qualified and registered Teacher, Examiner, Mentor and Tutor for Royal Academy of Dance, with more than 25 years’ experience. Her teaching highlights include The Australian Ballet School in the Associate program, Guest teacher with International Ballet Workshops and many RAD Intensive Workshops within Australia and abroad.

​

She loves to coach dedicated young dancers and has a firm philosophy for her teaching which includes passing on her love for dance, to encourage the pursuit of excellence and special interest in ballet conditioning, anatomy, somatic studies, and dance education.

​

Additional qualifications include Certificate VI in Training and Assessment, Alida Segal International Character Dance Syllabi, Perfect Form Physiotherapy, Pilates Mat and Reformer Instruction and Certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and Progressing Contemporary Technique.

​

Jane is a current member of IADMS, Ausdance and The Australian Ballet and Society.

Adrian was born in Melbourne and began dancing at the age of four under the tuition of Tania Attard (Attitudes Dance Studio) and later at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, graduating in 2002.


After graduating he was offered the role of Coricopat in the South Korea Tent Top Tour of CATS in 2003. He then took on the role of Mr. Mistofelees for the World Tour, Asian Tour, Australian Tour and finished up with the show after his final tours to the Philippians and Taiwan, performing in CATS for eight years. In his final year with CATS, Adrian also took on the additional role of Dance Captain. Between contracts he also worked at Tokyo Disney Sea (Encore!) and for Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas.


Adrian currently works at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance as Director of Dance. He has been in this role since 2017 and loves to inspire his students whilst passing on his extensive knowledge of this amazing and forever changing industry.


Adrian has also had an extensive career as an adjudicator for various Dance Competitions nationally and internationally as well as teaching at Dance Festivals.
Some of Adrian’s Choreographic credits include: The Melbourne Cup, Victorian Racing Club - Young Members Ball, Klarna, The Footy Show, Rockwiz - ABC, TVC’s, Twisted Broadway, Winners & Losers - 7 Network, D.W.T.S Promo - Network Ten, Porsche Showroom Launch - Melbourne, Jaguar Launch - Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, Saxton Speakers, Dulux Colour Awards, Club Melbourne 10th Anniversary Dinner.

Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes, Co-Founders and Artistic Directors of Scimm. Dance, have propelled the institution to the forefront of Australia's contemporary dance scene since its inception in 2013. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, they have formed a successful Australian renowned dance company and have curated a suite of training programs to nurture and coach the next generation of dancers. 

 

In 2018, Scimm. Dance Company was launched, marking a new era of paid opportunities for seasoned dancers. Under Scott and Tim's guidance, the company has flourished, presenting acclaimed performances such as Senseless State (2018), Aetherium (2019), Paracosm (2022), and the celebrated Mechorstra  (2023, 2024). Their work is characterised by a commitment to providing professional training, choreographic development and regular performance opportunities, solidifying Scimm. Dance Company's reputation as a beacon of contemporary dance innovation. 

 

Platforms Youth Company, established in 2015, serves as a testament to their dedication to providing young dancers with professional experience and exposure to the workings of a contemporary dance company. This initiative has enabled hundreds of young dancers to gain professional performance experience, further enriching the dance community. 

 

2024 saw Scott & Tim introduce Scimm. Dance Pre-Professional, a full-time training program aimed at cultivating elite pre-professional contemporary dancers. This program, recognised for its artistic excellence and comprehensive dance education, demonstrates their commitment to empowering dancers to achieve their full potential. 

 

Scott and Tim's work extends beyond the studio and stage; they are regular fixtures on the national and international dance festival circuits, sharing their expertise and passion for dance. Notable sell-out performances include Mechorstra which picked up the coveted 2023 Melbourne Fringe People’s Choice Award and its encore season at the 2024 Midsumma Festival with the new work Pink, celebrating queer culture and stories. 

 

As they prepare to remount their nationally toured production of "Paracosm" in late 2024, Scott and Tim continue to inspire and shape the future of contemporary dance in Australia and beyond.

Kathleen Curwen-Walker LCBA (Cecchetti) is the Artistic Director Dance For Life Academy and founder of Movitanz Senior Swans. 


Kathleen Curwen-Walker is an esteemed Cecchetti ballet instructor, choreographer, and the visionary Artistic Director of Dance for Life Academy. With a career that spans over four decades, she has been recognized for her excellence with the Lucie Saranova Medals in 1975-76 and the Enrico Cecchetti Diploma in 1982. Kathleen holds a Licentiate in the Cecchetti method, a testament to her deep expertise and commitment to ballet.


Her international teaching career has included directing studios in Melbourne, India, and New Zealand. In 2015, Kathleen founded the Auckland Academy of Adult Ballet (now Dance for Life Academy), expanding the academy's offerings to include various adult dance genres and creating the pioneering Senior Swans Syllabus.
This syllabus has opened ballet to seniors, embodying her belief that ballet should be accessible to all ages.


Kathleen's influence extends beyond the studio through her mentorship of emerging dance instructors, ensuring the legacy of her passion for ballet continues to inspire future generations of teachers and dancers.

Hara is a dance artist and creative within the Victorian entertainment industry. She is the Associate Dance Director for the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, where she teaches the next generation of top young talent. 

​

Hara works closely for Yvette Lee where she has been on the creative team for the 2022 and 2023 AFL Grand Final pre-show Entertainment.

​

She has worked with brands such as Samsonite, Chemist Warehouse, KMART, 2XU, AAMI and Diesel. 

​

She has also worked as a Production Assistant for New Ground Collective and choreographed for Dracula’s show Menagerie.

​

Hara is very enthusiastic about her work and grateful to continue getting amongst all areas of the thrilling entertainment industry.

Alex, started her dance career at the young age of 6 in Cologne Germany, where she studied all forms of dance including jazz, commercial, ballet, latin and ballroom. After moving to Melbourne, Australia at the age of 14 she found her success on a National and International level, becoming Australian Ten Dance Champion and finalist of multiple Asian and European competitions in both Ballroom and Latin American dancing.


When she was offered a position to be a resident Burn the Floor Cast member in 2017 her professional dance career began. In 2019 she was cast on the popular TV Show 'Dancing with the stars Australia’ in which she had the pleasure of teaching and performing for five consecutive seasons, making it all the way to the finale with her celebrity partner David Road.


Alex also has an extensive career in the commercial dance scene, working with artists such as Robbie Williams, Conrad Sewell, Bobby Fox and many more. She works with some of the most sought after choreographers on stage, screen and commercially.


Last year she moved to London in pursuit of sharing her craft on a larger scale, where she got to be a part of a touring show with one of the Strictly Come Dancing professionals Giovanni Pernice in Made in Italy as well as be part of the famous Cabaret show at the London Cabaret Club.
